1. 'Which' or 'What?'

Здесь ничего не предлагается на выбор. Мы можем назвать любой вариант мороженого, которое нам нравится, например, ванильное. В таких случаях, где речь не идет о выборе между вариантами, используется местоимение ‘what’.
2. 'Which' or 'What?'
Второе правило, которое позволяет очень быстро определить, какое из двух местоимений лучше использовать такое: попробуйте подставить при переводе на русский язык вместо слова ‘какой’ выражение – ‘какой из’ или ‘какая из’. И если это выражение подойдет и не исказит значение вашего предложения, то, значит, в вашей фразе лучше использовать слово- ‘which’.
Например:
